## A backup is only as good as the restore

### Restores you can trust

Pick a backup, choose what to put back — the whole site, a few files or one table — and watch it run. Every part is checked against its recorded SHA-256 first, and visitors see a maintenance page while the site is being replaced.

### Your storage, your keys

Backups go straight from your site to storage you already own — Amazon S3 and any S3-compatible provider, FTP, or email. They never pass through us, and credentials are encrypted in your own database.

### It tells you first

An email when a backup fails — and, unusually, when one never started, or when the disk is too full for the next. Most backup plugins stay silent about the backup that never happened.
